ROLE OVERVIEW:
As we move into an exciting new chapter within Lilly in Cardiometabolic Health across both Diabetes & Obesity, the role of the field Regional Business Manager becomes more important than ever in leading our field-based sales teams to maximise the impact & reach of our medicines.
An essential part of the RBM role will be exceptional leadership in maximising customer facing time across the sales team but also cross-functional coordination & alignment with the Value and Access Managers (VAMs) and our Marketing & Medical teams to develop robust strategies for their region, while understanding the healthcare ecosystem and creating partnerships with key decision makers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach and develop a team of Sales professionals (Territory Business Managers), identifying the required key capabilities and leading the team to develop and maintain the highest standards of performance in these areas, in partnership with the Sales Capabilities Team.
* Identify, shape and lead regional/localised strategies through the understanding of the local environment within the CMH TA culminating in the creation of cross functional local account plans.
* Develop a Strategic Account Management approach centred around cross-functional collaboration (VAMs, B2B, MSLs, MEAs, NTA).
* Lead the development of a Regional Meetings programme, partnering with thought leaders and local experts to deliver a robust and impactful series of meetings.
* Accelerate, reach and scale Lilly medicines, through personal accountability, omnichannel capabilities and working collaboratively with cross-functional partners.
* Build on existing relationships with relevant HCPs, while also exploring & building new relationships with Other Relevant Decision Makers to ensure local endorsement for Lilly brands.
* Develop and maintain effective processes for utilising data for business analysis and assessment of progress towards targets and KPIs.
* Lead the reporting of performance back for promoted brands to feed into Business Reviews.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
* Leadership experience or potential for a candidate who has been on a fast-track scheme/ready for first leadership role.
* Strong evidence of supporting and inspiring teams and individuals to achieve results in a highly complex matrix environment.
* Solid understanding of healthcare system – primary care, pathways & specialist teams.
* Purpose driven in Cross functional collaboration ie Market Access, Key Account Management.
* Cardiometabolic Health is not essential, other therapy areas will be considered.
* Foster a positive and resilient growth mindset across the team.
* Strong entrepreneurial business mindset with commercial acumen.
