SLC have an exciting opportunity for a UX Lead to join our Customer Experience team within the Product, Customer and E xternal Relations D irectorate. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team in executing high quality User Research and UX design in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Service Designers, Developers, Data Analysts, Operations staff, Customer Communications, and T echnical A rchitects. The UX Lead will ensure that user needs are understood and defined using appropriate research techniques and fieldwork to provide analysis. You will champion those users’ needs through exploring and testing UX design options based on research evidence, creating design patterns, interface designs and interaction flows, collaborating and iterating on designs throughout agile sprint cycles, and ensuring relevant standards are applied appropriately. What you bring: Very good problem-solving and analytical skills, with proven experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams including Developers, Data Analysts, and Business Analysts Extensive expertise in design thinking and user- centered design approaches, backed by relevant professional experience in the field Demonstrated ability to lead and interpret user research, with skills in sketching and prototyping both on paper and in HTML to create accessible, secure, and responsive user interfaces Experience in planning and executing large-scale User Research projects involving complex and varied user groups, with a focus on removing complexity from services Proven track record of successfully applying accessibility standards to create inclusive digital solutions Experience of leading and managing design teams Relevant academic and professional qualifications or equivalent experience, with expertise in designing user- centered services You can expect more from a career with SLC.
