Job Description:
Field Service Engineer
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive detail about the nature of the problem to the customer and Finning, creating a quote as per the request within a cost and time-effective manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Attend site and understand customer needs
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical or electrical issues in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner
* Utilise dealer software and repair techniques
* Provide an estimate of arrival time at customer's site based on job instructions from Branch
* Identify parts required for repair and requisition them with expected delivery date
* Undertake repair and service work to agreed work plan
Requirements:
* Strong planning and organisational skills
* Able to work in high-pressured situations and meet tight deadlines
* NVQ Level 3 in Land Based Engineering/Plant Fitting (preferred)
* Formal training as a Field Service Engineer (served for a significant period or development opportunity for a qualified apprentice)
* Knowledge of field-based diagnosis tools and equipment essential
* Heavy Earth Moving equipment operating knowledge
* LVD driving licence
* Experience of various construction and static machines
