Skin Rocks is built on Caroline’s lifelong study of skin care. The Role: The NPD Executive will play a key role in the NPD team. Having worked in personal care development previously, she/he/they will be enthused by skincare and have a keen interest in working on products from ideation to production. Key Responsibilities: Lead the NPD & EPD day-to-day product development from concept creation to production, working closely with Head of Product. Compile formulation briefs and direct third-party R&D departments through to final approval. Establish and maintain good working relationships with key suppliers including packaging and manufacturing partners. Create & manage CPAs, inclusive of lead times and manage third parties to ensure timely product delivery. Manage all development sampling, inclusive of formula testing panels and clinical samples and partake in submission reviews with the Head of Product. Monitor development testing with labs/manufacturers, ensuring reports are received and reviewed in a timely manner. Manage packaging sourcing, feeding into the COG/MOQ management of NPD products. Work with the Head of Product on COGs, negotiating with suppliers where appropriate. Update and oversee relevant NPD development trackers as part of development project management. Organise the internal testing panel for new developments (including distribution of samples, monitoring and presenting responses) to inform NPD. Lead on NPD communication with the Design Team to facilitate packaging design and artwork completion, including reviewing of artwork and managing submissions with relevant 3rd parties. Manage SKU codes & barcode creation and maintenance. Working with the Regulatory & Compliance Officer, ensure sample requirements are met in line with the CPA. Support Head of Product with market analyses to inform new projects/ developments. Create and update artwork content trackers with required information alongside Regulatory & Compliance Officer. Work closely with Operations & Marketing teams to ensure timings/department requirements are met. Qualifications and Skills: Extensive experience in a key NPD role within the beauty industry. Experience of complex cosmetic product & packaging developments Previous experience in the premium skincare market is preferable. Proactive with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Have good market knowledge with a passion for skincare. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to handle competing priorities Have proven problem solving skills. Good communication skills required for liaising with both internal and external teams. Strong analytical skills, proactive approach to anticipate issues and provide solutions. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop relationships. Proficient in Microsoft Office software. Annual Basic Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience Skin Rocks operates on a fully inclusive hiring policy, without exceptions.
