Job responsibilities
As a Night Manager at Imperial Trust, you will be responsible for overseeing the hospitals operations during nighttime hours. Your key duties include supervising the night staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, and addressing any emergencies or issues that arise. You will manage administrative tasks such as updating patient records and handling admissions and discharges and ensure the safety and security of the hospital by monitoring security systems and conducting regular checks. Your leadership and support will be crucial in maintaining efficient and safe hospital operations throughout the night.Each night, the night manager meets with supervisors for both Domestic and Porter services at the Porters lodge or designated area. They report to the Site Practitioner on each site either in person or via telephone. If necessary, they sign out a Hotel Services vehicle to travel to other hospitals from St Marys Hospital. The night manager walks the hospital sites with supervisors to ensure duties are being carried out safely and effectively. They assist Service Managers with Return to Work processes, PDRs, Accident Investigations, and other similar HR functions. Additionally, they handle any other reasonable management requests as they arise. The night manager is responsible for overseeing approximately 60 workers across three hospitals.
