Technical Sales and Service Supervisor – job opportunity Location: Essex, CM19 / Onsite role with some European travelSalary: £50k plus benefitsOur specialist Engineering and Manufacturing client is recruiting for a Technical Sales and Service Supervisor, this role will be involved in process operations supporting the sales team, distributors, and customers with product and technical information to help grow sales and meet customers' needs.The Technical Sales and Service Supervisor will work closely with the sales team by travelling to customer locations to support customer use/application of products. In addition, this role will work closely with R&D / Technical Services team to create best practices as well as participate in cross-functional projects and quality initiatives. Technical Sales & Service Supervisor person profile – Bachelor’s degree (preferably engineering or other technical discipline) or equivalent experience with demonstrated technical aptitude. 3 - 5 years field sales experience in the manufacturing industry with 2-3 years technical sales management experience. Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office and familiarity with material management systems. Able to work as part of a team providing distributors and other internal support functions with the information they need to win customer business. Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Technical Sales & Service Supervisor role – Stay up to date with industry developments and trends. Answer general technical questions and assist sales / distributors / customers in product selection. Evaluate customer needs and recommend products / applications Train and provide on-going support for Distributors and Representatives to develop product knowledge, promote and generate sales. Recommend and participate in commercial programs and activities to grow business including trade shows, advertising, website, meetings, projects etc. Network and maintain effective market, product and competitive contacts to anticipate development in products and prices. Evaluate product applications and recommend market and product policies, programs, and strategies. Work with customers, sales, distributors, and others to investigate new applications and products.
