At Calders & Grandidge, part of the globally recognized Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland, we're on the lookout for a passionate and driven Transport Team Leader to manage our talented team of Transport Coordinators and Commercial Drivers.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-4pm (with flexibility as needed)

What You'll Be Doing:
Ensuring our fleet and operations are fully compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Managing and maintaining our commercial vehicles while keeping associated costs under control.
Analysing and improving load efficiencies, driver utilization, fleet performance, and on-time delivery (OTIF).
Resolving customer issues swiftly and effectively.
Leading and supporting a team of Transport Coordinators and Drivers to achieve their best.What We're Looking For:
Experience in the transport industry with a strong understanding of compliance.
A proactive approach to analyzing and improving efficiencies across the board.
Strong problem-solving skills to handle unexpected challenges like breakdowns or defects.
A people person who can motivate and manage a team with confidence.
Someone ready to bring energy, enthusiasm, and ideas to a fast-paced role.

We are equipped with our own twin set of 36m creosote impregnation vessels, as well as 15m Tanalith high pressure treatment autoclaves. These resources enable us to treat large amounts of timber quickly and efficiently, meaning we can get your products to you faster.

All the timber we use in the construction of our products is Chain of Custody compliant, meaning we only source timber from well-managed, sustainable forests to limit our environmental impact as much as possible.
