IT Project Delivery Manager St Albans (Hybrid working) The IT Project Delivery Manager will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of all IT projects and workstreams, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The role holder will manage a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts, acting as a role model for best practice project delivery and taking every opportunity to improve our project delivery processes and overall performance. As our next IT Project Delivery Manager, your role is to drive, lead, run, and be instrumental in Team Leadership. You will lead, mentor, and motivate a team of project managers and business analysts, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. Your remit is to allocate resources effectively and efficiently, ensuring that project teams are adequately staffed and equipped to meet project goals. Your day to day activities will include ensuring that project deliverables meet the required quality standards, implementing quality control processes, and addressing any quality issues promptly. You will also be responsible for developing and managing project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring that projects are delivered within the approved budget. Additionally, you will track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and act as a point of escalation/intervention where projects are not within tolerance. Within this role, there is an opportunity to work closely with the PMO Process & Governance Manager to continuously improve our ways of working and embedding Project Delivery best practice into the IT department. You will also have the chance to successfully manage select projects from inception to completion as appropriate. The Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. Proven experience as an IT Project Manager or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Planview, MS Project, Jira, etc.) You're looking for a role where you can be instrumental in leading a team, implementing quality control processes, and making process improvements.
