CMM Inspector. Join our clients innovative and industry-leading manufacturing company, where quality and precision drive their success. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Inspector to join their team and contribute to ensuring excellence in our manufacturing processes.
CMM Inspector Key Responsibilities:
As a CMM Inspector, you will be responsible for:
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings with a strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Conducting first-off sample inspections for manufactured components.
- Creating and running CMM programs using various software platforms, including M-Cosmos, Calypso, and Polyworks.
- Inspecting additional attributes such as material hardness, material composition, and surface finish.
- Performing 3D laser scanning and generating detailed inspection reports.
- Performing gear geometry inspections.
- Creating and maintaining accurate inspection documentation and reports.
- Collaborating with design and quality engineers to discuss inspection results and provide insights.
- Supporting engineers with specific inspection requirements.
- Conducting Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR) and generating corresponding documentation.
- Utilising statistical process control to ensure process quality and consistency.
- Assisting with special projects and undertaking additional duties as required by the Manager.
CMM Inspector Skills / Experience Required:
Essential:
- Proven experience in an automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with a sound knowledge of GD&T.
- Experience with CMM inspection processes
Hours: Monday - Friday days, 39 hours per week.
