We are a progressive company supplying survey solutions to civil engineering, construction and land surveying industries. We specialise in bringing innovative technology to market including the most advanced GNSS, mobile mapping, 3D laser scanners, UAV’S and total station solutions available to geospatial professionals. ABOUT THE ROLE The purpose of this role is to be the main point of contact for customers seeking to hire our surveying equipment. In the role you will deal with incoming calls and emails from customers in a timely, efficient, and effective manner. This will be done by providing quotations, liaising with internal departments to ensure equipment is available, processing orders, coordinating deliveries and collections, as well as managing the associated sales administration. This role will partner closely with all aspects of the SCCS and wider Hexagon Group businesses to provide the right level of practical support in order to meet the company’s sales objectives and growth targets. RESPONSIBILITIES Receiving hire enquiries via telephone and email. Processing customer orders using InspHire software Arranging delivery and collection of orders in accordance with the customers’ requirements, and liaising, where required, with the warehouse, logistics and workshop teams. Managing and resolving mid-hire events such as machine breakdowns and exchange requests. Handling general incoming enquiries from customers, prospects, and sales personnel. Generating ‘on the spot’, and weekly reports for customers Provide office support for SCCS external sales personnel. Supporting the management team in leading and contributing to the regular review of procedures to improve customer care, performance, and productivity. Building strong long-term and productive relationships with customers by providing excellent customer experiences through quick and efficient investigations and resolving all customer queries to ensure delivery of our service promise. QULIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills Experience in a busy customer service office environment. Organised and thorough with excellent attention to detail Self-motivated, conscientious, and adaptable to change. Ability to be a key member of the wider organisation. Ability to build and maintain relationships with key customers. Strong time-management skills to prioritise workload, and work under pressure to strict deadlines. Desirables Fluent working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite & Syrinx would be ideal, although training would be provided. Knowledge of survey equipment, software, and workflows such as GNSS, laser scanners, total stations, machine control, and requirements of the users of such equipment Previous experience of working in the Hire environment e.g. plant or rental management Prior account management experience
