Main duties of the job
Working within a Multidisciplinary Team you will provide a high quality of service to children/young people and their families, ensuring their care, education and therapy needs are met.
You will need to be a registered nurse, experience of working with children and young people with complex disabilities and complex health needs is desirable. With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.
Job responsibilities
You will work as a Bank Registered Nurse to ensure the safe and effective delivery of a high standard of individualised care across a twenty-four hour period, in collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Team.
You will work within a holistic model to ensure care, education & therapy needs are met twenty-four hours a day.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse.
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Experience
* Previous experience of working with children/young people with disabilities and complex health needs.
Skills & Abilities
* Evidence of being able to communicate effectively within a nursing role.
* Demonstrates an understanding of the change process in a healthcare setting.
* Able to demonstrate a holistic approach to the care of children.
* Understands and has the ability to document concise and accurate records.
* Works within Professional Boundaries.
Knowledge
* IT Skills: Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Word.
* Understanding of responsibilities in line with safeguarding vulnerable children and their families.

* Flexible and can-do attitude to competing demands.
* Highly motivated and reliable.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
Depending on experience: £22.39 - £25.26 per hour, inclusive of London weighting.
