Accounts Assistant Location: Segensworth, Hampshire | Salary: Up to £30k Benefits We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a multi-award-winning antivirus and security company based in Fareham, Hampshire. They specialise in advanced online protection and offer a wide range of security tools and applications to keep users safe. They are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. Key Responsibilities Accurately record accounting transactions in accordance with FRS102. Perform daily reconciliation of merchant processing accounts and compare with third-party systems. Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting. Assist with Accounts Payable and company credit card reconciliations. Support the preparation of month-end accounts. Reconciliation & Analysis Analyse actual cash received versus expected revenue to identify trends and variances. Reconcile revenue data with third-party systems to ensure accuracy. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between recorded revenue and system reports. Manage revenue cash flow forecasting to support business needs. Work with the billing team to minimise order-to-cash times. Perform regular cash sweeps of merchant accounts. Process Improvement & Compliance Implement process improvements to enhance revenue tracking efficiency. Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements. Provide insights and recommendations for improving revenue collection strategies. Reporting & Analysis Prepare monthly revenue reports for stakeholders. Support forecasting and budgeting with revenue trend analysis. Model the financial implications of merchant processing agreements. Who Were Looking For Working towards an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail. Advanced IT and spreadsheet proficiency. Confident communicator with the ability to present financial data clearly. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks. Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Xero and SaaS businesses (desirable). Highly organised with a continuous improvement mindset. Whats on Offer?
