Wood Digital Consulting (DC) is recruiting for a Technical Sales Manager to support its Sheet Metal and Fabrication business. This is a hybrid role that will require being at the Bedford office at least once a week.

The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for winning and managing new accounts, maintaining an effective social media presence for the business, and planning exhibition attendance to maximise business exposure to potential new customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Director with the Business Development strategy, through the identification and targeting of new business opportunities with new customers.
* Achieve predefined sales targets in line with company expectations.
* Manage the new business pipeline and provide regular status updates and corrective action plans when off target.
* Deliver technical and product presentations in line with company requirements.
* Complete forecasting and reporting in an accurate and timely manner, as required by the business.
* Assist in the Bid Review process to ensure the maximum opportunity for the business.
* Build long-term relationships with customers creating an atmosphere of trust and co-operation.
* Attend exhibitions, events, and customer entertainment as may be reasonably required on a national basis, that may require overnight stays.
* Resolve all customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
* Good knowledge of the latest manufacturing techniques.
* Proven customer service experience.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external parties at all levels.
* Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and multi-task, with minimal guidance and supervision.
* To comply with the company policy as defined in the Staff Handbook, Safety Manual, and Quality Assurance Manual.
* Other duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
* Knowledge of the UK Sheet Metal market.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Sheet Metal & Fabrication Sales Experience.
* Track record of growing business social media marketing.
* All-round familiarity with manufacturing techniques and processes.
* Competence with Microsoft Office.
* Strong mathematical skills.
* Professional, with a passion for Sales.

* Previous Estimating experience.
* Marketing knowledge: social media engagement.
