As our business progresses, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Grounds Operative to join our team. About the role In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining our open spaces under the guidance of the Team Leader. Your day-to-day tasks will include grass cutting, hedge trimming, border care, gritting, leaf clearance, and litter picking—ensuring all areas are clean and tidy after work is completed. You'll be responsible for quickly addressing grounds maintenance requests and enquiries from both customers and other sections of Worthing Homes. Working safely and efficiently is a top priority, so you'll adhere to all Health & Safety and Environmental guidelines while operating vehicles, machinery, and equipment. You'll also keep accurate records and help ensure that the depot is always clean, organized, and safe. This role offers an opportunity to make a real impact on the community by keeping outdoor spaces in great condition and contributing to a positive environment for all. About you You'll have extensive experience using general horticultural machinery and will be familiar with the maintenance of open spaces, gardens, and play areas, with a solid knowledge of plants. Strong teamwork skills are vital, as you’ll be working closely with others to maintain our outdoor spaces. Experience using IT to record data and access information is important for efficient task management and communication and you must have a full driving licence. Why work for us?
