An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a key leader in Glasgow’s HSCP’s transformational agenda managing services focussed on an anti poverty and strengths based approach. Across North East Glasgow you will be managing the Health Visiting Service, continuing to implement the Revised Universal Pathway, manage and implement the School Nursing change agenda and oral health promotion.
DIMENSIONS
* Approximately 140 staff.
* Approximately £7m of staff and resources budget.
* Main services, health visiting, school nursing, oral health promotion.
* Parenting Services - individual and community capacity building.
* Lead for Child Protection in the sector.
The post holder:
* will become part of the North East Management team alongside Social Work.
* may also manage any hosted services or thematic children’s service developments on behalf of Greater Glasgow and Clyde as part of the broader team.
* will provide leadership and have operational management responsibility for Children and Family Services in a locality, ensuring the delivery of Children and Family Services outcomes in line with the planning frameworks.
* will manage staff, be accountable for all aspects of service delivery and responsible for budget and physical resources for children services within the locality.
* will ensure that the outcomes which have been set for Children and Family teams are delivered.
* will be delivering safe, effective, person centred and responsive care and support services.
* will promote service delivery that minimises health inequalities.
* will work in partnership with related services and agencies to ensure seamless provision of services.
* will ensure access for the most vulnerable children and families.
* will ensure clinical, financial and staff governance standards and local and board wide agreed outcomes are met.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
