Responsibilities of an SEN Teacher:
* Provide a safe, nurturing classroom and school environment that helps students to develop as learners.
* Consistently plan, resource, and deliver lessons that allow stimulating and enjoyable learning.
* Supervise teaching assistants within the classroom.
* Use regular assessments to monitor progress, set targets, and determine appropriate intervention.
* Manage behaviour, mark work, and talk to parents and carers about their children's progress.
* Collaborate with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors, and psychologists.
Requirements of an SEN Teacher:
* Must have a QTS.
* Experience within SEN.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
* Adaptable and positive approach.
