Job Description: We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our skilled team. As a CNC Machinist, you will set and operate Mazak CNC machines, working with Mazatrol controls to produce high-precision bespoke components. The role involves manufacturing mould tools for Thermoforming Machines, predominantly working with aluminum, some resin materials, and 10% steel plate. The work is highly varied, producing one-off pieces from engineering and technical drawings (no repetitive work). Key Responsibilities: Setting and operating Mazak CNC machines (both 3-axis and 5-axis preferred). Producing bespoke mould tools for Thermoforming Machines. Working from engineering/technical drawings to ensure precise production. Programming basic operations directly on the Mazak machines when required (most programs are provided). Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a minimum of 2 years’ post-apprenticeship experience. Expertise in operating Mazatrol CNC controls and Mazak machines for milling operations. Time-served apprenticeship in engineering or CNC machining. Ability to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining (preferred). Flexible working attitude and willingness to work across multiple CNC machines. Must be able to reliably attend work for shift start times (6:00am). Why Should You Apply?
