Job title: Senior Brand Designer

Overview of the role:
The PokerStars brand and visual identity is one of its strongest assets. Since the rebrand in 2019, it has been consistently identified as one of the great successes of that project both within PokerStars and Flutter more broadly.
As we enter a new phase for the PokerStars brand, one which is focused on optimisation and creating work that looks amazing but crucially drives business impact, we need a Senior Brand Designer to lead this charge and be at the forefront of how the brand looks across our three verticals – with a particular focus on propositions and acquisition campaigns.
This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.
What you’ll do:
We have amazing foundations to build on in Poker, Casino & Sport as well as our partnerships toolkit. From here we need to iterate, align and ensure that PokerStars feels like one brand.
Additionally, as we double down on a regional marketing approach, the role of the brand design team will be to build a viewpoint on how the brand visually operates at a local level. What is consistent and what adapts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design new visuals as appropriate for cross-vertical campaigns with a focus on acquisition and online tournaments/propositions.
* Be the developer and guardian of local design toolkits where appropriate, working with brand and regional marketing teams.
* Work with the Senior Manager - Brand Design & Campaigns to proactively identify opportunities to optimise our visual identity to drive greater impact and design cohesion.
* Work closely with the studio to ensure any new design output can be easily and effectively developed and adapted for tech-enabled and multi-channel rollout.
* Work in partnership with the content team to understand opportunities for the integration of our visual identity and storytelling.
* Be a crucial voice to the business in challenging when bespoke design work is needed (with impact at the forefront).
* Work closely with UX/UI design functions to ensure our visual identity is aligned to product best practices.
* Be a key hub in the creative project team – working closely with brand, studio, and Ops to agree on the best way to deliver projects.
* Be a mentor and guide for our talented team members.
* Collaborate closely with key stakeholders.
* Analyze briefs and offer feedback to elevate our creative output.
What you’ll bring:
Essential:
* Proven years of design experience.
* Proven track record of developing high-quality original design work utilising a variety of graphical and stylistic approaches.
* A knack for creative problem-solving.
* Mastery of Adobe CS software, with a focus on Photoshop.
* An impressive portfolio showcasing your deep understanding and experience in creative design.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to self-start and set own priorities.
* Excellent typographic skills.
* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, coupled with an adaptable and positive attitude.
Desirable:
* Experience in the betting and gaming industry.
* Familiarity with multiple creative disciplines (animation, 3D, illustration, type, video) – while we have specialist teams in these areas, your creative insights will be invaluable for collaborative projects.
* Past experience in guiding or managing junior designers and freelancers, refining designs, and conducting reviews.
