Joining the AA as Senior FP&A Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping the group-wide financial planning and analysis process. In this capacity, you will model, analyse, and interpret data, delivering valuable insights to enhance EBITDA performance. Furthermore, you will prepare and present findings to senior-level stakeholders, ensuring that your insights drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
What will I be doing?
1. Produce and analyse Group-wide balance scorecard (BSC) results and lead the annual BSC target setting process.
2. Analyse Group-wide results with a focus on key drivers and work with Finance business partners to understand KPIs/drivers, assess go-forward impact, and mitigating actions.
3. Develop and present PowerPoint presentations that effectively utilize storytelling techniques and incorporate data-driven graphs created with Think Cell.
4. Prepare and review board packs, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
5. Conduct integrity checks on group consolidations, board packs, and management reports throughout the planning process.
6. Develop and maintain P&L R&O templates, including those for debt & refinancing, other key Cashflow categories.
7. Identify and implement improvements within the FP&A team to create more agile, accurate, and insightful processes and reporting.
8. Support the delivery of financial forecasts, budgets, and 5-year plans, as well as other Group FP&A ad hoc projects.
What do I need?
1. Proven track record in an FP&A environment in a similar company in terms of size and complexity.
2. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including statutory accounting, processes, and controls.
3. Experience in preparing executive-level presentations and distilling complex technical topics for executive or board-level audiences.
4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
5. Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and data-driven graphs using Think Cell.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
7. Ability to present financial information concisely and confidently.
8. Chartered Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent).
