About the Role
Are you a creative graphics officer who has an eye for detail? Do you love design work and would enjoy working with a highly motivated communications and marketing and team? Then you could be perfect to join us at Maidstone Borough Council!
This role is at the heart of the council working on many different projects and tasks, delivering comprehensive design services including printed material, publications, photoshop, social media assets, digital design, video production, online material and traditional projects – no day will be the same.
This is a part time position working 32 hours per week on a permanent contract.
About You
You will need to be an excellent communicator with solid experience of design and brand experience in the commercial or public sector on a broad range of publications, using Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
You should also have:
• Ability to work quickly and remain calm under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent proofreading skills
• Illustration skills
• Experience of Windows Office Suite, Acrobat
• Previous print finishing experience, handling large-format paper, cutting equipment and encapsulation materials

Selection Process
