About the role
As a Home Care Senior Duty Planning Officer, you will be at the heart of our Home Care service, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You will oversee the scheduling of home carers, ensuring that work plans are created and distributed on time while responding to care requests quickly and effectively.
You will also manage the administrative team, supervising performance, overseeing office operations, and ensuring records are accurate and compliant. A key part of your role will be maintaining strong communication with Care Managers, carers, and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery. Additionally, you will contribute to rota planning, staff management, and service development, helping to improve processes and enhance care quality. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role where your leadership and organisational skills will have a direct impact on those who rely on our services.

You should have strong leadership skills and experience in staff management, scheduling, or planning, ideally within a care or administrative setting. The ability to make quick, informed decisions will be crucial, as you will be responding to care requests and ensuring that the right support is in place as soon as possible.
Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be working closely with a variety of professionals, including Care Managers, carers, and external partners. You should also be comfortable using electronic office systems and have an eye for detail when it comes to maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
