Job summary We are restructuring our administration team and have created an opportunity to join our friendly and efficient team behind the scenes. The hub of the practice, responsible for ensuring the smooth running and efficient management of the surgery, you will be part of the team responding to a variety of requests from patients, staff and external agencies, managing effective recall of patients and general administrative duties. The post provides scope to excel in your areas of interest compatible with the needs of the practice and will be supported through training and education. Previous experience of General Practice and knowledge of EMIS is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Main duties of the job You will support administrative procedures associated with General Practice including dealing with requests for reports and subject access requests, call and recall of patients to effectively manage long term conditions, dealing with mail and other general duties. In addition you will support planning and running of internal meetings, mandatory training and staff rotas. We envisage this role developing and could include areas of information technology within the practice, clinical systems and external websites, primary care network working, clinical coding and summarising or other areas consistent with the needs of the practice. You will have a can do attitude and be happy to be part of the team responding to all manner of requests from other departments in the surgery.
