Land Acquisition Associate / Land Manager

We are recruiting for a Land Acquisition Associate, or Manager to join a well-established and growing Solar / BESS Developer in the UK. Our client is a pro-active developer with a strong pipeline of projects across Utility Scale Solar / BESS, and part of a larger global asset management fund with a strong operational portfolio.
Previous land acquisition/buyer experience within renewables is highly preferred but full training can be provided for the right candidate.
· Expected salary: £40,000 - £50,000 for someone with 2-3 years of experience plus bonuses / benefits. (they could be open to more senior profiles with further growth expected)
· Location: London HQ (Central) or remote
The Role
* You will be responsible for researching land, finding landowner details, and making direct contacts with landowners.
* You will report to the Origination Manager and work closely with a small-knit Development & Technical Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
* Site finding and identification of led development opportunities across the UK;
* Establish effective working relationships directly with landowners and land agents;
* Build and maintain effective working relationships with landowners and land agents;
* Prepare concise assessment of land for development including feasibility and assessing the planning credentials of any site;
* Work closely with the land director to conduct land appraisals to determine the value of any potential development land;
* Prepare land offers that meet the requirements of the business;
* Prepare and produce due diligence and Heads of Terms;
* Maintain and manage the land list and take an active role in the land department; and
* Liaise with our planning team and external consultants to ensure the successful delivery of applications and decisions.

* Our client is an early-stage Development Company focussing on bringing projects through initial land acquisition to RtB stage.
* Interestingly, they are part of a large global renewables asset management business and are well-funded to capitalise on Development opportunities here in the UK and own their own operational portfolio.
