This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Project Co-ordinator to join our team.
The successful post holder will support the delivery of the digital agenda across the Trust and will support the procurement and implementation of a Single EPR across all sites.
The successful applicant will have proven experience of Digital Projects and will ensure that the digital programme is being communicated and delivered, with the IT Programme Manager.
The post-holder will take a whole-systems approach, working closely with clinical and operational teams and corporate services.
The Trust has come a long way in a short space of time and needs to maintain this momentum. This role will be key to ensuring the Digital Programme is delivered and the benefits are realised.
Main duties of the job
The IT Project Co-ordinator provides support for the running and management of IT projects underway in the Trust.
The role provides the project management office function for IT projects, co-ordinating project boards, managing the filing system for projects, ensuring that the production of highlight reports and all supporting project documentation is carried out using the Trust's standard templates.
The role manages elements of IT projects as required by the IT Programme Manager, as well as supporting, facilitating and monitoring progress across the Trust.
In conjunction with the IT Programme Manager, the post holder ensures that projects follow the PRINCE 2 project management method, are documented correctly, have good stakeholder engagement, report progress against plan consistently through the appropriate corporate governance arrangements, have key decisions documented, are closed correctly, and have smooth handover to business as usual operation.
Job responsibilities
Please note that the office base for this role will be Ormskirk District and General Hospital, although there will be a requirement to travel to all five Trust hospital sites.
Hybrid working is encouraged but there is a requirement to work regularly from an office base.

Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or has equivalent work based experience with evidence of continuous professional development
* ECDL or equivalent skills in operating Microsoft Office applications or has equivalent work based experience
* PRINCE2 Foundation
* Other professional development
Knowledge
* Successful delivery of clinical informatics projects
* Managing risks, issues, dependencies and constraints in projects
* Managing project budgets and project resources
* Understanding of NHS hospital processes and practices
* Implementation of hospital systems
* Managing change in a large organisation
* Delivering communication plans to ensure engagement and ownership

* Ability to write comprehensive specifications and other project documentation without ambiguity
