This widely known food manufacturer in the chilled sector produces pioneering products for prestigious retail customers. They are looking for a talented and devoted Head Development Chef to lead their creative NPD team.
The Role
In this exciting and challenging role, you will be developing inspirational recipes and new product ranges according to customer briefs. Working at pace, whilst nurturing a small team of Development Chefs, you will take responsibility for the management of projects in line with key company objectives. This will include organising taste panels to ensure your products are great tasting as well as high quality and using feedback to improve recipes for new-to-market ranges.
You will accurately oversee and document all stages of concept development including the sourcing of new raw materials, ensuring supplier approval and quality standards are met. In addition, you will be liaising closely with key retail customers by presenting new concepts and communicating project milestones.
The Person
We are looking for a talented Development Chef who has gained invaluable NPD experience in a food manufacturing environment. You will have worked in a chilled category and have a history of meeting retail customer briefs. A strong desire to develop a team of creative development chefs, coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills, is essential.
You will have a broad knowledge of the food industry where you can identify innovation opportunities, thinking outside the box to achieve market success.
