An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the General Leads team at the Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy. You are required to provide strong leadership within this clinical area.
Other responsibilities include coordinating sickness absence / annual leave / out of hours working for Radiographers, Student Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and Radiology HCSWs.
To work in a leadership capacity to the Radiology Health Care Support Workers (HCSW) team.
You must possess a high level of NHS clinical expertise and experience. Have a high level of skills and knowledge to support their team in provide a high quality diagnostic general and paediatric imaging service covering PH2 general x-ray service and the NTC.
You will be required to manage workload and give clinical leadership to the radiology team ensuring service cover for the General Department while carrying a significant clinical workload. Alongside justifying and perform Radiographic examinations, delivering direct care in order to assist in the management of patients referred from clinicians and other referrers.
You will drive and implement change with a focus on service improvement.
Deputise for the X-ray Clinical Service Manager in her absence. To support the management team and other clinical leads in meeting operational and strategic targets.
Participation in Hospital Safety Huddle / Department Lead On Call and contribute to Public Holiday cover is an expectation of this post.
Rooms are all newly equipped with Fuji Digital general units, Fuji, Samsung and Carestream DR mobile units, Siemens/Phillips C-arm image intensifiers and Carestream National PACS.
The department supports role extension and actively encourages CPD with protected study time.
