Job Summary We currently have an exciting opportunity for a result orientated, self-motivated and hardworking individual, who can successfully lead and motivate a team. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that production targets for the shift are achieved in an efficient and cost-effective manner Ensuring work is completed in line with KPI’s. Ensuring relevant KPIs are recorded and kept updated, monitoring them and reporting changes Responsible for ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) are correct, up to date and are adhered to at all times Monitoring and managing staff performance, conduct and attendance. Coaching, directing and developing team. Conducting performances reviews; 121’s, documented discussions, investigations and disciplinary meetings. Ensuring individuals and team maintain, return to, or improve performance to, (and beyond) desired standards by taking prompt action as issues arise Managing sickness and holiday requests against business requirements to ensure staff cover to meet demand while managing overtime costs Maintaining area up to the relevant audit standards and certifications and playing an active role in audits, customer visits/plant tours Supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) work by actively participating, making suggestions and ideas, involving & setting up teams, supporting the process and ensuring procedures are updated with any changes. Promoting Health & Safety (H&S), conducting safety inspections and active participation in H&S initiatives Liaising effectively with others, teams and departments Managing issues; quality, productivity, individuals and team performance Raising Permits to work for maintenance issues. Reporting break downs and issues Completing internal reports and other work and support as required. Required Skills Sound educational background (4 GCSEs or equivalent) Excellent communication skills Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and make decisions Good team building and leadership skills Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office Required Experience Experience as an operator within a food production environment Experience working with ERP software system (e.g. SAP) Prior experience in a team leader and/or supervisor role We are a global leader in taste, scent, and nutrition, offering our customers a broader range of natural solutions and accelerating our growth strategy.
