The opportunity
As our Motor Vehicle Workshop Instructor, you will deliver hands-on, practical training designed to equip learners with the skills they need for success in the automotive sector. Your role will be key to their development, providing instruction in a workshop environment, supporting practical learning, and assessing their progress. You will also play a vital part in maintaining a safe and inspiring learning space that encourages growth and confidence. This role will see you working closely with students of all ages, from young people at the start of their careers to adults looking to upskill or transition into the automotive industry.
Youll deliver engaging demonstrations, prepare and maintain workshop materials, and assess our students progress. You will also play a key role in maintaining a safe and organised environment, promoting health and safety practices and ensuring tools and equipment meet the required standards.
Collaboration will be central to your role, as you will work closely with teaching staff and course leaders to plan and deliver practical elements of courses. Youll also contribute to team meetings, share updates on student progress, and support the smooth running of the workshop.

About you
We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable individual with a strong background in the automotive industry, eager to share their expertise and inspire students. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices.
Youll be comfortable working in a workshop environment, delivering engaging, practical training to students at all levels. Excellent communication skills are key, as youll collaborate with both students and colleagues, track progress, and ensure a safe, productive learning space.
Were seeking someone who is dedicated to student success, with the flexibility to tailor teaching methods to meet individual needs. Experience working with a range of age groupsfrom young learners to adults upskillingis a bonus. A strong commitment to health and safety standards and effective resource management is also important.

Required
* Relevant Level 3 Motor Vehicle qualification
* Level 4 teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards)
* GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
Preferred
* Relevant industry experiences working within an automotive industry
* Experience mentoring others or delivering practical training within the automotive industry
