I am looking for a QA manager with a strong civil engineering background. If you have experience as a Quality Assurance Manager working on infrastructure projects, this role will give you the opportunity to become an independent function developing and implementing quality management systems on a long-term project.
You will be responsible for all QA and inspections. This is a freelance/permanent position on a long-term major project, and a strong civil background is preferred.

Quality Assurance Manager Requirements
1. Quality Assurance Management experience on a London Underground / Network Rail project
2. Degree qualified or equivalent extensive experience within a Quality role
3. Excellent English verbal and written skills
4. Practical experience of developing, implementing, and improving quality management systems to ISO 9001
5. Member of Chartered Quality Institute or an appropriate engineering institute
6. Be a competent auditor
7. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead and manage their own time
8. Able to encourage and motivate people of all levels
Quality Assurance Manager Role & Responsibilities
1. Implement and maintain a Quality Management System to ISO 9001 and contract requirements
2. Implement and maintain a Quality Plan compliant with ISO 10005
3. Establish self-certification processes and effective ways of monitoring this efficiently
4. Provide training for Quality processes to the team
5. Manage the team
6. Identify supply chain capabilities to meet quality requirements on the project and review their quality plans
7. Educate the team on acceptance of ITPs (Inspection Test Plans)
8. Compile quality records
9. Educate and advise on non-conformities and issues and analyze trends to identify causes and ways of improvement
10. Manage the audit process and review the quality management system
11. Produce information and dashboards for reviews
