Help us make a difference to people with life-limiting illnesses…
At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 25 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.
About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Education Team as a Clinical Practice Educator.
As a Clinical Practice Educator, you’ll support the delivery of both in-house and external training programmes for a range of staff at all levels across health and social care.
The Clinical Practice Educator role promotes high quality, holistic, person-centered palliative and end of life care, by developing the skills and knowledge of our staff members and external partners.
The hours will be worked over three days, to be agreed, with some flexibility required to cover for colleagues. You will be working across our three hospice sites in Coventry, Warwick and Rugby.
About you
We are seeking a Registered Nurse with:
* Experience of palliative and end of life care
* Experience of formal teaching and supporting learners in a clinical setting, including assessing
* Advanced Communication Skills course (or willing to take this)
* Communication, team building, facilitation, IT, organisational and interpersonal skills
* Current NMC PIN
* The right to work in the UK (we cannot support with sponsorship)
This role will require an enhanced DBS check including the adults’ barred list because you will be instructing staff members in regulated activity with adults. Myton will cover the cost of this DBS check.
As this role requires travel between our hospice sites and to external venues, you must be able to travel within Coventry and Warwickshire (preferably with a UK driving licence and your own vehicle).
We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and encourage everyone to bring their true selves to work. However you identify, and whatever background you bring with you, we welcome you to apply. If there are any adjustments that would help improve your experience with Myton, we encourage you to share this with us.
We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities and from ethnic minorities, who are currently under-represented in our hospices. We also believe our interview process should be inclusive and transparent. If there is anything missing, or a way we can improve, please do let us know.
Benefits of working at Myton
