Are you passionate about supporting young people and creating meaningful opportunities within the NHS? We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Youth Volunteering Coordinatorto lead and expand our thrivingYouth Volunteer Programmeacross North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust (NWAFT).
About the Role:
Since its inception in December 2019, our Youth Volunteer Programme has provided hundreds of young people aged 16-25 with the chance to volunteer, gain valuable experience, and strengthen their applications to medical and healthcare universities. With approximately 80 active youth volunteers across the Trust, this role will be instrumental in supporting and developing the programme further.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in working with young people, community engagement, or volunteering programmes.
• A passion for empowering youth and supporting their personal and professional development.
• The ability to work flexibly across sites, primarily based at the Peterborough site with travel to Hinchingbrooke and Stamford as required.

• Provide ongoing support to youth volunteers on duty.
• Design and deliver innovative volunteering opportunities tailored to the needs of young people and hospital teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital staff to identify where youth volunteers can make a difference.
• Engage with local schools, colleges, universities, and community groups to recruit young volunteers and promote the programme.
• Collaborate with the Volunteering Service team to align youth programmes with broader volunteering initiatives.
