Litigation Solicitor, Wiltshire
A creative, positive environment isn't a pipe dream.
My client is a well-known regional firm with various offices and a very good name for their customer service reputation.
Local, regional, and national work comes into the firm, which is a multi-service firm.
The makeup of the team consists of people who genuinely care, are dedicated, and demonstrate passion. Maintaining high standards drives everything forward in the organization.
They seem to have everything right on the culture side here, which is what so many professionals look at when deciding to make a move. Staff feel valued and hard work is recognized.
As well as a competitive salary, you can expect to find a range of perks and benefits associated with a noted law firm.
Ideas get listened to and implemented, and individual flair is allowed to thrive. People matter within the firm.
You will be expected to pick up a caseload of varied Litigation matters, and with your 2+ Years PQE experience, you'll be able to hit the ground running, working with support above and below you within a collegiate team. Also advantageous would be some previous exposure to landlord and tenant, commercial or business debt recovery, contractual disputes, professional negligence, and insurance litigation.
What are the firm looking for here:
1. A passion for Litigation
2. A willingness to grow your profile through writing articles, blogs, networking, and gentle business development - just being visible and on hand to handle walk-ins etc.
3. Ability to stay calm and reasonable yet assertive when negotiating
4. Self-motivated and have excellent communication skills
5. Driven and wanting to bill well.
You should be motivated by a generalist caseload - Property, Civil and Commercial Litigation together with some Employment matters, and not having to pigeonhole yourself with just one area of Litigation, although you can do business development in the direction of Litigation that you enjoy the most.
Applications from relocators will be considered; however, you should be able to demonstrate a commitment to live and work in the area.
