Progress Teachers are working closely with a local mainstream secondary school to appoint an experienced Behaviour Mentor to provide practical and pastoral guidance for students with challenging behaviours and SEMH needs.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, implementing tailored behaviour management strategies.
2. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
3. Monitor and assess student behaviour, identifying triggers and implementing proactive interventions.
4. Organise and lead workshops or training sessions for students, staff, and parents on behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.
5. Act as a liaison between the school, parents, and external agencies involved in behaviour support.
6. Work closely with the school leadership team to contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide behaviour policies.
Qualifications / Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role in an educational setting is highly advantageous.
3. Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support strategies.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
6. Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to behaviour support.
7. Certification in behaviour intervention or related field is a plus.
8. A valid DBS on the Update Service OR willingness to obtain.
