Requirements
12. 5 GCSEs (Grade A-C) or equivalent, one of which should be in English or relevant NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
13. Minimum 1 year paid or voluntary experience of working in a Health Care or Education setting
14. Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and compliance due to the nature of this work
15. Up to date Immunisation records to complete a full occupational health review
16. Ability to build rapport with ease
17. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
18. Effective time management and prioritisation skills
19. Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment
Responsibilities
20. To maintain a caseload of allocated clients, prioritising (where appropriate) and reporting activity and changes to the occupational therapist
21. To conduct initial interviews with clients and/or next of kin, gathering details and information about the client
22. Where appropriate, to accompany therapists on home risk assessment visits.
23. To ensure the safe and competent use of assistive/adaptive equipment
24. Deliver a service, which meets all organisational and professional responsibilities
25. Prepare/present appropriate specialist professional reports as required
26. Communicate effectively with patients and ensure there is an understanding of their condition
27. Promote and support effective team working, fostering a culture of openness and transparency
28. Support the service's leadership team
29. Maintain a high level of safety to ensure all service users are kept safe
