FCAMHS NW is a specialist community mental health team commissioned by NHS England based on the Prestwich site. The team works with young people up to the age of 18 who present with complex needs and high-risk behaviours.
GU is one of a number of medium secure adolescent forensic units across the country providing highly specialised care in a secure environment, for boys between the ages of 11 and 18 years. Within the unit is a purpose-built intensive care facility.
Applicants are invited for the post of full time Medical Personal Assistant. Applicants must demonstrate secretarial experience and be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications. Experience in using an electronic patient system would be beneficial but not essential.
Within this role the applicant will provide a full and comprehensive PA role to multiple consultants, clinical staff and members of the multi-disciplinary team within the Specialist Services Network.
This role will also be responsible for the effective coordination of the referral system.
We require a highly motivated, dynamic individual with excellent communication and organisational skills, who has an interest and positive attitude to working with adolescents. Experience of working within an adolescent community mental health team would be desirable.
You will have an organised and flexible approach, with the ability to prioritise your workload and relate to all types of people. Your excellent IT and interpersonal skills will also ensure that you’ll have no trouble fitting into this busy, interesting role.
