This is a fantastic opportunity for a Procurement Business Partner to join our fast-paced and well-established Procurement Team.
It is an exciting time to join our Procurement Team, with the introduction of the new Procurement Act in October this year and support the business with the delivery of our Corporate Plan through our procurement activity. There is lots to do and make an impact.
We are looking for someone who has a real passion for all things procurement, takes pride in achieving value for money, putting in place robust contracts, and driving commercial impact through sourcing.
What will my working week look like?
You will be homebased, living within the North West, within a reasonable travelling distance of our Head Office in Warrington, to attend meetings and training courses when needed. Realistically, you will be required to visit our Head Office approximately around 2 times a week. You’ll meet with a wide variety of stakeholders and suppliers, building a strong network and relationships to share your procurement expertise as a business partner.
What will I be responsible for doing?
First and foremost, you will be running end to end procurement and sourcing activity from defining the need through to getting the contract signed. You’ll be seeking value for money throughout the procurement process and working closely with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver commercial success.
As Procurement Business Partner, you’ll work closely with colleagues across many teams and departments to effectively plan and deliver procurement activity for the Group that supports the delivery of the Corporate Plan.
One of the great things about this role is you will get a wide range of category experience, get to be seen as a real expert within the business and enjoy variety in the sourcing you do. You’ll get to build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders and work with them to achieve successful contract results.
You will manage a pipeline of procurement activity, develop sourcing strategies, run tenders, and put in place strong commercial contracts, using tools such as spend analysis and a range of communication methods.
And what would make me stand out from the crowd?
To be successful as Procurement Business Partner at YHG, you will have:
* Experience and ability to manage and deliver projects to deadlines, with excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Strong commercial acumen, including a track record in delivering value for money and cost savings.
* Ability to use a range of communication methods and build strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
* MCIPS Qualification or studying towards.
Ideally, you will be a:
* Collaborative team player
* Great communicator and negotiator
This role is really suited to someone who likes to use their procurement expertise to come up with great commercial solutions and see through their impact in practice. It is well suited to someone who enjoys working closely with other people to build relationships and is results and deadline driven.
If you’re a procurement professional looking to widen their category experience or take your next step in your career and deepen your procurement practice, then this could be the right role for you.
What’s in it for me?
In return we offer £50-55,000 p.a. for a 35-hour week, and 25 days annual leave (holidays also increase with time served) plus Bank Holidays, but our employee offering provides much more than just a competitive salary and holiday allowance.
At #TeamYHG we measure performance on outputs and quality, not hours and minutes. We offer a flexible, homeworking culture where you’re trusted to get the job done. If you need time for an appointment, the school run or an exercise class, if it fits with business needs, we’re open to what works for you too. And when you need to collaborate with your team, you can visit Youggle House – our purpose-built collaboration, wellbeing, and social space in Birchwood, Warrington.
On top of this, we’ll provide you with a great benefits package, including a contributory pension where we match whatever you choose to contribute (up to 8%), an advanced level Healthcare cash plan through BHSF, that doesn’t just provide dental and optician cashback but also health and wellbeing benefits (such as 24/7 GP Access, money back from prescriptions and alternative therapy treatments) and an amazing discount scheme that gives you access to half price cinema tickets, subsidised gym memberships and a huge range of discounts with some of the biggest high street and online names.
