The division includes Breast, Oncology, Medical Imaging, Pathology, Pharmacy, and Radiation Services across our Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals and our Diagnostic Centres. You will be required to work cross-site at Colchester and Ipswich Hospital.
As the Deputy Governance and Quality Manager, you will be an integral part of the Division’s Governance Team, assisting the Governance Lead in the coordination, implementation, and delivery of the Trust Governance framework within the Division.
In this role, you will support governance at both Divisional and Clinical Delivery Group levels, facilitating best practice in the analysis and management of incidents and complaints, supporting learning, and managing risk. You will work closely with the Division and members of the Trust’s Patient Safety & Quality, Clinical Outcomes, Patient Experience, and Corporate teams.
Responsible for:
1. Monitoring incidents reported through the division and conducting continual quality reviews of all clinical and non-clinical incidents to assess the quality of reporting.
2. Identifying and implementing bespoke training required for clinical/non-clinical areas.
3. Ensuring trends and themes are identified, with concerns raised and escalated to the Divisional Governance Lead.
4. Effective management of and preparation for regulatory inspections.
5. Facilitating and maintaining the delivery of an effective quality assurance management programme (JACIE).
6. Assisting the Governance Lead in regular review, coordination, and maintenance of risk.
7. Providing high-quality and timely responses to patient feedback and complaints, ensuring processes are in place across the division (including community services and commercial providers).
8. Working to embed robust governance and quality assurance mechanisms within each Clinical Delivery Group (CDG).
