About the Team This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional building maintenance surveyor seeking a new challenge to join our award winning Property Services Building Team. As part of a wider team including building surveyors & M&E engineers, the postholder will coordinate and deliver works through our supply chain, ensuring high standards and conformity to specification throughout. Working predominantly within the county of Warwickshire for a range of customers, the buildings we maintain include office accommodation, schools, fire stations, libraries, heritage and culture property, industrial buildings as well as farms and small holdings. The Building Maintenance Surveyor post is key to our continued success and your performance will directly contribute to it. Within the Building Services Team you will be working as part of a professional team of surveyors and engineers responsible for a wide range of revenue and capital projects for clients both within and external to the Council. Working from Warwickshire County Council’s property condition data or to external client briefs you will be conducting site surveys, preparing specifications and tender drawings, certifying contractors accounts, instructing contractors, chairing meetings, and managing your own projects through from inception to handover, liaising with stakeholders along the way. The role requires an ambitious, qualified, and motivated building maintenance surveyor who will be provided with all the support needed to deliver a quality service Please click here for Job description and Person Specification About the Role 37 hours per week Salary £40,476 to £42,708 per annum (pay award pending) Out of hours callout & standby: Approximately one weeks duty, every four to six weeks, paid at 12.5% of hourly rate. Full rate if required to work, or attend site. Generous Annual Leave entitlement – 26 days rising to 31 days after 4 years service, plus bank holidays and an additional Company Day at Christmas. The postholder will be required to independently travel to various properties managed by WCC within Warwickshire County. The post holder should be qualified to HNC level or equivalent in construction.
