Job Description
The role is part of the Global Training & Development team. The role holder will directly report to the Director and will be responsible for the business development of all Training Products. The purpose of the role is to generate maximum income, increase market share, increase profits, ensure return on investment and improve customer satisfaction/ experience while responding and aligning to the Training strategy and, Division and Group's overall portfolio strategy. The strategy of SD is to scale up commercial training products, particularly mass-market products (e.g., Virtual Training Centre; VTC) as such it is anticipated that the role will evolve to meet this growth.
This is a full-time and permanent position. You must be flexible to travel internationally (about 60% of the time).
Responsibilities Include: (but not limited to)
* Confirming value proposition
* Build and work with Lighthouse customers - Profile key prioritised customers
* Bring business cases through the gate process.
* Creating channel to market
* Customer engagement / sponsors.
* Identify top strategic opportunities.
* Manage given pipeline by segment and sub-segment.
* Coordinate across sales, service and technology to deliver on complex deals.
* Support global bids on complex strategic deals.
* Manage incoming bid pipeline and assignments.
* Mentor regional sales staff to grow into cross-functional solution bid contributors.
* Carry out lessons learnt on wins, losses in partnership with sales.
* Ensure the business achieves short/long term business plans, strategies and tactics to grow the business.
* Ensure the business achieves or exceeds annual order commitments and tactics to grow the business.
* Assist with major corporate initiatives on strategy and business models.
* Grow existing and new customer relationships in all domains.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or relevant field.
* Experience and understanding of different aspects of a business (Customer service, Manufacturing, Operations and installation, Purchasing, Sales, project, Marketing and R&D).
* Ability to measure key metrics around the business (acquisition, conversion, satisfaction rates).
* Understand how customers research and buy products.
* Work collaboratively with the relevant product managers to feed through customers needs from each sub segment and each region to define tech/product and customer roadmaps.
* Participate in strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting process.
* Considerable experience in B2B Sales and Marketing, Global recycling and mining Industry and both CAPEX and OPEX sales
* Successful record of working within the Recycling, mining industry with conops and technical know-how
* Knowledge of the Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project) and Visio.
* Knowledge and experienced in the use of SAP as a tool.
* Knowledge and experienced in the use of a Learning Management System.
* Understanding of or a willingness to learn about the of the SD product portfolio, technical capabilities and the broader industry requirements.
