A great opportunity has arrived to join a growing vibrant company as we are looking to appoint a Site Supervisor for our Construction division.
Site Supervisor role & responsibilities:
1. To provide day to day supervision, and leadership to multiple teams, subcontractors.
2. To plan, schedule and coordinate designated works for you and your team working to a programme/plan on daily, weekly activities.
3. Instil and maintain a strong Health and Safety culture within site team.
4. Responsible for maintaining high standards of work for yourself and others.
5. Report daily activities and complete site log.
6. Represent the company at coordination meetings.
7. Maintain plant and equipment records, ensure equipment is maintained and not used incorrectly. Report damages/breakages.
8. Carry out risk assessments.
9. Help with / undertake toolbox talks/safety meetings.
10. Complete / maintain on site safety hazard assessments.
11. Participate in safety / incident investigations.
12. Inspect and measure completed works.
13. Organise equipment and plant for your tasks.
14. Maintain team morale.
15. Delegate responsibilities.
16. Mentor and coach members of the team.
17. Supervise All Sub-contractors and other labour workers. Ensure they are working to provided RAMS, permits etc.
18. Establish resources, manpower, plant equipment.
19. Help resolve design issues, evaluate implement change.
20. Conduct inspections.
21. Accept ownership and responsibility for project completions.
22. Determine the priority works to be done, as per programme, own initiative, and own authority.
23. Determine whether they have the correct number of employees possessing the required skills for the job.
24. Alter schedule and minimise downtime re-assign co-workers.
25. Good timekeeper.
26. Report to payroll.
27. Inspect work environment.
28. Communicate new company procedures and policies and maintain them.
29. Prepare accident reports.
30. Prepare production, Daily and Weekly reports.
31. Perform quality and safety inspections.
32. To maintain a smart appearance and to act in a professional manner at all times when representing Don Valley Engineering Group.
33. Manage/coordinate day to day activities onsite for Don Valley and Subcontractors.
34. Be able to supervise all direct labour as necessary and coordinate the activities of subcontractors.
35. Manage and Coordinate Health and Safety onsite.
36. Manage and maintain a strong Health and Safety culture within site team.
37. Monitor build progress, report programme / cost / build deviations.
38. Develop reports, KPI’s.
39. Liaise with clients, manage internal and external relationships.
40. Responsible for maintaining high standards / level of work / Quality of work.
41. Report daily activities.
42. Prepare toolbox talks/safety meetings.
43. Complete / maintain onsite safety hazard assessments. POWRA.
44. Undertake/Participate in safety / incident investigations.
45. Inspect and measure completed works.
46. Organise equipment and plant for your tasks.
47. Manage own performance to meet requirements of your role.
48. Promote positive working relationships.
49. You will undertake CDM duties.
50. Flexible in approach to work and adaptable to change, good role model.
51. Good attention to detail and standard of work.
Qualifications/Experience/Skills:
1. Heavy engineering / Material handling experience preferred.
2. Good client-facing and internal communication skills.
3. Good written and verbal communication skills.
4. Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
5. CDM experience required.
6. SSSTS / SMSTS required.
7. Beneficial - Minimum IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent experience.
Job Type: Full-Time Contract.
