About the team The Finance Key Account Manager sits within the wider Invoicing and Credit Team but will also work closely with and support teams across the finance department. About the role This is a new role to manage the financial relationship with key clients, ensuring good customer service is delivered to both our internal customers and external clients. The role will work across all financial areas the key client touches including client set up, e-billing or billing, credit control, cashiering and reporting. This is a hybrid role working 5 days a week with at least 50% of their time in the office. Key Responsibilities Managing the financial relationship with key clients within Freeths To be the go to person on any financial queries for the key client, for both the client and front office ensuring these are dealt with efficiently and effectively This role will review current processes and procedures to ensure a successful financial relationship This role will work with all financial areas where the key client relationship touches including client set up, e-billing or billing, credit control, cashiers and reporting to deliver what the client needs Has the ability to think through and design reporting to meet the clients needs The role will have strong business partnering experience, fronting the financial relationship with the client The role will be responsible for overseeing the financial relationship with the client from set up to closure, including zombie matters The ability to interpret reporting and using this to ensure service delivery for the key client across the finance function Fronting ad-hoc projects for the key client to improve service delivery e.g. improved reporting for service lines Supporting the Head of Billing and Revenue Collection on the implementation of new ways of working Challenging current ways of working, coming up with new ideas and process improvements, implementing these across the team Allocating work and sharing resource to ensure the business needs are met Provide support and guidance to the team as necessary Collaborating with the wider finance team to build a ‘one team’ culture Collaborating with front office to build better relationships with finance and implementing that approach across the team Ensure that queries raised are logged, escalated and resolved within the agreed SLA’s Ensuring the right training is in place for the team, using support from the wider business Able to travel to clients offices as required Your skills and qualifications The successful candidate will ideally have at least 3 years previous experience of working in a similar role, ideally within a professional services environment Excellent inter-personal communication skills (both written and verbal), demonstrating experience of liaising with clients, partners, fee-earners, secretaries and finance colleagues Team player who supports and motivates their colleagues. Demonstrate a clear track record of commitment to the highest level of customer service A high level of numeracy is required together with a good understanding of financial workings; ideally within professional services but not essential Experience of legal systems such as Aderant are desirable but not essential Good IT skills and competence in Word, Excel and Outlook are required It is essential that the candidate has an eye for detail and the ability to act positively, independently, creatively and intuitively when presented with challenges. Has a confident presence and people skills that enable effective engagement and collaboration with partners and senior leadership Has tenacity, resilience, and patience when dealing with difficult and challenging issues and calmness under pressure Has experience in implementing training for good collections practice across teams Smart.
