The Vacancy
Our Third Party Administration (TPA) department is a dynamic administration team with a varied portfolio of clients. They play a key part in providing our clients and members with a market-leading service on Defined Benefits (DB), Defined Contribution (DC) and CARE pension arrangements.
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join this department as a Project Coordinator, within our Third Party Administration team in our Edinburgh or Glasgow Office.
What will your role look like?
You will coordinate activities and provide high quality support for TPA administered pension schemes to connect to the Governments Pensions Dashboard.
Though this is a varied role, your key tasks will include:
1. Support Project Managers to successfully deliver projects.
2. Plan, organise and lead project meetings, including the production and sharing of meeting agendas, supporting papers, minutes and updating the tasks board.
3. Create and update internal Teams sites and client SharePoint sites/files; ensuring accurate version control procedures are maintained.
4. Track and report on project budget spends and support the client billing process.
5. Monitor and maintain project documentation to ensure this provides an accurate picture of progress at any point in time and facilitates regular reporting.
6. With guidance, create and develop project plans and other key project control documentation, based on agreed deliverables and timescales.
7. Manage RAID logs.
8. Ensure project tasks are progressed/completed within pre-agreed timescales.
9. Travel to client meetings and other Hymans Robertson offices, should this be required.
To enjoy and succeed in this role, you will have:
1. Experience working in a project role coupled with a strong desire to pursue a career as a project professional.
2. Confident and experienced in facilitating meetings with senior stakeholders and clients.
3. Strong time management, organisational and prioritisation skills to successfully meet deadlines and manage workloads.
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. MS Project experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
5. An excellent communicator who works in a partnering and collaborative way.
6. A problem-solver with a strong can-do attitude and a hands-on approach.
7. Able to remain calm and continue to deliver under pressure.
8. Works flexibly in a fast-moving environment.
It would be advantageous for candidates to have previous pensions knowledge but this is not essential for the role.
In addition to a competitive salary and access to our profit share scheme, we offer:
1. A flexible selection of employee benefits, so you can choose a package that best matches your lifestyle and needs.
2. A collaborative and encouraging work environment where your thinking and ideas are encouraged.
3. On site mental health and wellbeing assistance.
4. A commitment to helping you develop both personally and professionally, with mentoring opportunities and access to our award-winning learning portal, Aspire.
5. Regular social activities, in addition to three days paid volunteering leave each year and a day’s leave to celebrate your birthday.
6. Hybrid working so you can enjoy the positive wellbeing of working from home as well as the benefits of meeting colleagues in our sociable, modern office environments.
