Electrician Overview:
We are recruiting 2 x Maintenance Electrician on behalf of our client, with one position based in Birmingham and another in Cambridge. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out Planned and Reactive Electrical Maintenance, including remedial works and general installations, across sectors such as hospitality, retail, and leisure.
Key Responsibilities - Electrician:
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and installation works across electrical systems, including: Lighting systems
Electrical Distribution Boards & Associated Circuits
Fire & Intruder Alarm Systems
Pumps, Motors, and Control Systems
Building Management Systems
HVAC Systems
EV Charging Systems
PAT Testing
EICRs, Fire Alarm Inspections, and Emergency Lighting Inspections
Perform fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment and systems
Undertake alterations, installations, and electrical testing according to specifications and legislation
Respond promptly and efficiently to reactive call-outs from the Helpdesk Team
Provide on-call service as part of a call-out rota
Compile quotes for installation and repair works, specifying material quantities and labor requirements
Identify non-repairable issues and escalate findings to the Contracts Manager with recommendations
Package for the Electrician:
Salary : £36,563 per annum, plus on-call payment of £1,950 per annum for being on-call one week in four
Overtime : Paid at 1.5x hourly rate (time and a half) after 37.5 hours worked
Working Hours : 08:00 16:00, Monday to Friday
Travel Time : 30 minutes travel time each way per day in your own time

Qualifications & Requirements:
Essential : 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3, AM2, City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing experience)
Proven experience in Electrical Maintenance & Installation
Ability to independently maintain and repair various electrical systems to recognised standards
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Full UK Driving License
Customer-focused, with a self-motivated and flexible approach to work
