Job summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse to join our team as a Gynaecology Nurse Specialist focussing on the unscheduled bleeding on HRT pathway which will run as a second arm of the post-menopausal bleeding pathway. This post has been developed following the release of a new national PMB guideline with the aim of supporting those patients referred for specialist input when they experience unscheduled bleeding on HRT but who do not require an urgent suspected cancer referral.This is therefore an exciting post for a person that is passionate about making a positive difference in the area of women's health and growing this new element of the service. As a key member of our ambulatory gynaecology service based on the Women's Health Unit at the Alexandra Hospital, you will be integral to the provision of high quality care. We have a friendly and skilled nursing team on the unit and you will work closely with the medics to provide services. You will need high standards of care, attention to detail, self-motivation, kindness, empathy and excellent communication skills to engage with patients and colleagues at all levels. This is an ideal opportunity if you are working at band 5 or 6 in gynaecology and wish to develop and enhance your clinical and pathway management skills and knowledge. This role is a full time, 1 year fixed term contract and we will be seeking funding to extend this with a possibility of this becoming a permanent role in the future.
