Job Overview:
This is an interesting and varied role with some physical aspects. It also has the potential for personal growth and development. The successful candidate will be joining a friendly group of people who work together to do what needs to be done and provide cover for each other as necessary. You will report to the Planning & Inventory Manager and work closely with the sales team.
Working 39 hours per week: 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 3.00pm Friday with 30 minutes paid lunch break. Flexible working times are possible for the right candidate with occasional hybrid working once the probationary period is completed.
Duties will include:
1. Entering customers orders onto Sage 50
2. Arranging for loads to be collected/delivered via haulage company online portal
3. Communicating with warehousing company
4. Emailing invoices to customers or submitting invoices via customer portals as necessary
5. Picking & packing goods for online shop orders, including replenishment of on-site stocks
6. Dealing with delivery issues
7. Raising credit notes if necessary
8. Monitoring stock levels and rates of sale
9. Weekly reporting of sales figures
10. Other ad hoc duties as required
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
1. Minimum 5 GCSE’s grade 5-9 (A-C) or equivalent, including English & Maths
2. Previous sales admin experience desirable
3. Logistics handling experience (preferable)
4. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
5. Professional & warm telephone manner
6. Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
7. Excellent communication skills
8. Adaptable and a team player with a willingness to learn
9. Experience of Sage 50 (desirable)
10. Arabic speaking (could be advantageous)
