Junior IT Technician

What you'll be doing:
* Supporting our team: You'll be the go-to person for our employees, helping them with everything from setting up their PCs and laptops to troubleshooting software issues. Think of it as being the friendly face of IT!
* Working with the cloud: You'll learn to manage Google Workspace and other cloud-based tools, making sure everyone has access to the software they need.
* Automating everything: We're big on efficiency! You'll get to use your coding and scripting skills (and learn new ones!) to automate tasks, integrate systems, and make things run smoother. Imagine writing a script that saves everyone hours of work – that could be you!
* Keeping things secure : You'll play a vital role in ensuring our devices and data are safe and secure. This includes managing anti-virus software and mobile device security.
* Sharing your knowledge : You'll create user guides and training materials to help our employees get the most out of our systems.
* Managing our tech: You'll help keep track of our IT equipment, software licenses, and other important information.
Requirements
What you'll need:
* Education : A-levels (or equivalent) in a computing, science, or technical subject. BTEC, IT apprenticeships, or similar vocational qualifications are a plus!
* Tech skills: You should be comfortable with basic PC and Mac setup and configuration. Familiarity with Google Workspace is a bonus, and any experience with scripting, coding, or system automation is highly valued.
* Problem-solving skills : You'll need to be a resourceful problem solver, able to investigate issues and find effective solutions.
* Communication skills : You'll be interacting with employees at all levels, so good communication skills are essential.
* A desire to learn : The tech world is constantly evolving, so a willingness to learn and adapt is crucial.
Bonus points for:
* Google Workspace certifications
* Experience with AI tools for data manipulation and automation
* A natural desire to automate processes and improve efficiency
* A strong understanding of data types and data consistency
* A passion for technology and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience
Essential:
* At least one year working in IT support, development or administration roles
* Demonstrable technical assistance, support and training skills
* IT and data-focussed problem solving
* Use of AI tools to supplement knowledge
* PC and Mac hardware and OS setup, configuration and management
* Understanding of good security practices
* Proficient in using spreadsheets, formulas and functions for internal logs, databases, task management etc
