About the role As a Warehouse Supervisor at CDGL, you will be one of two key supervisors responsible for the smooth day-to-day operations of the warehouse. Together with the current Warehouse Supervisor, you will ensure that all tasks are efficiently managed, including stock management, booking in stock, and optimising the dispatch process. In this hands-on role, you will lead and motivate(pick and pack alongside with them as needed) the warehouse team, ensuring that all processes are carried out effectively, while also collaborating closely with the Senior Management Team to implement improvements and ensure customer satisfaction. You will share responsibility for managing shifts, with the aim of extending the warehouse's operational hours and improving the efficiency of our next-day dispatch services. Key Responsibilities: Warehouse Leadership: Take joint responsibility for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including goods-in, stock management, pick-pack, dispatch, and returns. Share leadership duties with the other Warehouse Supervisor, ensuring clear communication and efficient task delegation between shifts. Shift Management: Help organise and manage two shifts to improve warehouse operational hours and extend the cut-off time for next-day dispatch. Ensure that both shifts operate smoothly, with the appropriate resources to meet business demand. Process Management: Oversee stock management and ensure that stock levels are consistently optimised. Take responsibility for booking in stock; ensuring this is completed on the same day as deliveries arrive. Regularly assess and improve warehouse workflows, including pick-pack procedures, to increase productivity and minimise errors. Team Supervision: Lead and motivate the warehouse operatives, providing clear direction and support to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to a high standard. Provide training and guidance to new team members, ensuring that they are familiar with CDGL’s processes and standards. Stock Control & Reporting: Conduct regular stock takes, ensuring accuracy in stock levels and working to minimise discrepancies. Report stock discrepancies to senior management and work with the team to resolve them promptly. Provide regular updates and reports on warehouse performance, stock levels, and any issues that may affect order fulfilment. Logistics & Customer Service: Work closely with couriers and suppliers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries. Manage customer returns and work with the sales support team to resolve any customer service issues related to warehouse operations. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that the warehouse complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and tidy working environment. Lead by example by following safety protocols and encouraging others to do the same. Skills and Experience Required: Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team. Solid understanding of stock management, goods-in, and dispatch processes. Experience in managing or coordinating warehouse shifts, including shift planning and task delegation. Proficiency using ERP or warehouse management systems, experience with NetSuite is a major benefit. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong decision-making skills with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Proven ability to take initiative, work independently, and solve complex problems.
