About the role:
Billigence is proud to be a Collibra Gold Partner, leading the way in delivering cutting-edge solutions for data governance and data cataloging. We are seeking an energetic and experienced Practice Manager to join our growing team and take the lead in driving successful data governance initiatives for our clients.
As a Practice Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering data governance strategies for our clients. Working across a range of industries, youll lead a talented team of specialists, collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure the successful adoption of data governance tools and how these integrate with and support organisational data governance frameworks. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic environment where your expertise will directly impact how organisations govern, manage, and utilise their data.
What youll do:
* Lead the delivery of Data governance solutions for clients, aligning with their business and data strategies.
* Oversee the design and implementation of data governance frameworks, enterprise data catalogues, and metadata management initiatives.
* Drive business engagement, ensuring successful adoption of governance tools and processes across client teams.
* Develop data governance strategies, roadmaps, and operational workflows.
* Collaborate with clients to identify and address data governance challenges, ensuring compliance and quality across systems.
* Lead and mentor a team of data governance specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
* Establish individual and team goals, in line with personal development reviews and global career frameworks.
* Measure and report on data governance success through KPIs, dashboards, and business impact analyses.
* Ensure a high standard of delivery by the data governance team, with customer satisfaction front of mind.
* Collaborate with the Business Development and Sales representatives, ensuring sales support is in place and refining the Data Governance service offering.
What youll need:
* Strong and authentic leadership skills, with a track record of managing and mentoring teams.
* A focus on resourcing and team profitability, whilst maintaining high Customer, Partner, and Employee Satisfaction levels.
* Capability to provide delivery assurance, quality, and oversight across multiple projects.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Proven experience in Data Strategy, Data Governance, Data Quality, and metadata management.
* Deep understanding of data governance best practices, including regulatory compliance, data privacy, and quality frameworks.
* Experience in designing and implementing data governance operating models, workflows, and policies.
* Hands-on expertise with data governance tools or enterprise data governance platforms.
* Knowledge of data engineering and analytics principles, including data pipelines, data warehousing, ETL processes, analytics, and insights (a plus).
