Coveris is a leading global manufacturer, creating high performance and technically engineered packaging solutions. At our Winsford site, we produce polythene film for a range of established customers across multiple industries including agricultural, industrial, and food based. We are looking for hard-working and motivated individual to join our Supply Chain department.
Job Description
Shifts; Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm
Salary; £25,000 per annum
As the Supply Chain Assistant, you will be involved in various aspects of Supply Chain Management including logistics, procurement, inventory control and the broader supply chain process. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will develop your skills and knowledge whilst contributing to the efficient and effective operation of the business’ supply chain functions.
Key responsibilities
Inventory Management: Assist with monitoring stock levels and ensuring that inventory is accurately recorded and tracked, support with stock audits and help identify discrepancies.
Procurement Support: Assist the procurement team in placing orders with suppliers, tracking deliveries, and maintaining supplier records. You will also be involved in reviewing supplier contracts and helping with negotiations.
Logistics Coordination: Assist with scheduling and coordinating transportation for goods. You will gain understanding of freight forwarding, shipping and delivery logistics while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers and various departments.
Supply Chain Data Entry and Reporting: Support the team in maintaining supply chain databases, logging incoming and outgoing shipments and updating delivery schedules.
Process Improvement: Contribute to identifying areas where the supply chain processes can be improved and assist with implementing improvements.
Customer Communication: Communicate with suppliers, vendors and internal teams regarding stock availability, order status and delivery updates.
Compliance and documentation: Assist with ensuring that all supply chain operations comply with regulatory and company standards.

What are we looking for
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Ability to adapt to new technology and software tools quickly.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
* Proactive approach to learning and development.
Desirable:
* Prior knowledge or experience in logistics, business or supply chain management is desirable, but not essential.
* Familiarity with supply chain software or ERP systems is desirable, but not essential.
