Aquarist Required for Developing Sector at Luxury Hotel
Location: Buckinghamshire
Closing date for applications is: 15th Mar 2024
Part or Full-time Aquarist with a background in retail or private keeping is required for a hotel with an exclusive and diverse array of rare exquisite marine, freshwater, and tropical tanks. Koi are also kept, so an interest or prior knowledge in this sphere is beneficial but not essential.
The ideal candidate will have a background in keeping a range of systems and be competent in completing all tank maintenance tasks to a meticulously high standard, along with daily water testing, record keeping, quarantine protocols, and life support system maintenance. The collection is experiencing further growth, opening up this new position within an established, dynamic team.
Skills required include the ability to effectively time manage, self-motivate, and problem-solve. These key skills, along with an excellent work ethic and genuine care for marine life, are of primary importance; formal qualifications are secondary to industry experience.
In return, we offer a very competitive salary, an annual discretionary performance-based bonus, workplace gym access, and a dynamic working environment where every day is exciting and diverse. We also provide weekly CPD training from industry experts and a commitment to developing our employees wherever an opportunity arises.
Weekend work is required, 3 or 5 days per week. A relocation package is available if required for the correct candidate.
Soonest starter ideal; as such, interviews will be held before the closing date, and the position will close once filled. This may be before the closing deadline, so please register your interest soon.
